| AUDITIONS SNEADS FERRY COMMUNITY THEATRE Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday March 27, 28 and 29, 2012 at 7:00pm SNEADS FERRY COMMUNITY CENTER 126 PARK LANE The Nerd By Larry Shue Aspiring young architect, Willum Cubbert has often told his friends about the debt he owes to Rick Steadman, a fellow ex-GI whom he has never met but saved his life after he was seriously wounded in battle. He has written to Rick to say that, as long as he is alive, “you will have somebody on Earth who will do anything for you”--- so Willum is delighted when Rick shows up unexpectedly on the night of his 34th birthday. But his delight soon fades as it becomes apparent that Rick is a hopeless nerd. This is a comedy filled with all kinds of humor, including weird charades games and hysterical sight gags, along with that twist at the end.
